Gatwick Routes

Tools

Work out your Gatwick trip

Each tool lists every figure it uses, with its source and the date we checked it.

  • Flight, terminal, start point

    Journey planner with delay margins

Tell it your flight, your terminal and where you start or where you are heading, as a station or a London postcode. It counts back from the flight using the timetabled journey, a delay margin taken from how trains on that corridor actually ran at that hour, and the tube leg from Transport for London.

  • Any London address

Door to door, with live times

Type your postcode or area and your flight or landing time. We ask Transport for London’s journey planner for the route and the contactless fare, peak or off-peak, and, when TfL’s route runs through one of our London stations, show the car quotes we recorded there.

  • Flying from Gatwick

    When should I leave?

Enter your flight time, terminal and starting station. It counts back through the time Gatwick advises you to allow, the walk from the station or coach stop, the shuttle if you fly from the North Terminal and the slowest journey time we recorded, then says whether each service is running at that hour.

  • Groups and families

    Train or private transfer?

Pick a route and the size of your group. It multiplies the per-person train or coach fare by the number of people and compares the total with the per-vehicle fare for a private transfer or taxi on the same route, where we have confirmed one, and shows the group size at which the cheaper option changes.

  • Driving to Gatwick

    Park or take the train?

Choose how many nights you are away, how many of you are travelling and where you start. It sets the Gatwick car park price that covers your stay against the train fares there and back for everyone, shows the drop-off charge, and says when no price we recorded covers the stay.
