Gatwick Routes

Tool · Live journeys from TfL

How do I get between my address and Gatwick?

Type your postcode or area and your flight or landing time. Your browser asks Transport for London’s journey planner for the route, then we add the time at the airport.

Planner

This planner needs JavaScript because it asks TfL’s journey planner from your browser. Our route pages list every option we checked, with times, fares and sources:

Direction

A postcode (e.g. SW1A 1AA) or an area (e.g. Camden Town)

The scheduled time on your booking (24-hour)

Your terminal

Trains use the station at the South Terminal

Minutes. Default 120: Gatwick’s general advice (gatwickairport.com, checked ). Your airline’s bag-drop or gate-closing time comes first.

How the planner works

Your browser sends the postcode or area you type to postcodes.io for suggestions, and the journey to Transport for London’s journey planner. TfL answers with up to three journeys, their times and the contactless or Oyster pay-as-you-go fare, marked peak or off-peak as TfL prices it. Nothing you type is sent to us.

The Gatwick end is always Gatwick Airport station, inside the South Terminal. Flying out, we count back from your flight: the time you want at the airport, the walk from the station to departures and, for the North Terminal, the shuttle ride. Landing, we add the same walk and ride to the time you expect to be out of arrivals. Gatwick publishes no wait time for the shuttle, so allow some.

On 25 and 26 December TfL’s planner returns no journeys, so we do not ask it. For a date TfL has not loaded yet it finds nothing or returns an error, and we say so rather than guess a plan.
